Welcome to the first NICPRE Quarterly of the new Millenium!

In this issue you'll find an article by Wayne Watkinson and Richard Rossier on the situation with the federal mushroom promotion act. The authors believe that the ruling in this case will have great implications for other promotion programs.

We've also included a piece on generic milk advertising in New York State by Harry M. Kaiser and Chanjin Chung. Their results show that dairy farmers as a group are benefiting from New York State milk advertising.

There's information on both upcoming meetings of NEC-63 inside. Look for the latest details regarding themes and contact information.

As always, we are still seeking contributions for future issues of the Quarterly. If you'd like to contribute, please let me know as soon as possible.
